I've been looking at starting up a forum and went to vbulletin's site and saw something called Vbulletin Suite that would be a very cheap upgrade which includes letting all users have their own custom blog page inside vadriven. I know it would require additional moderation but the idea seems interesting.

 

that has got to be one of the worst ideas ive heard.

i am sorry. no one would read others blogs, it would slow the forums down, and would be like spo and western combined

 

I can't go into full details of what we'll be running, as not all of them have been finalized on both ours and vBulletin's end. However, I can say for sure that we will be upgrading vBulletin shortly after the next version is released, assuming all the various hacks we've added along the way in the current version work with it.

If nothing else but for some of the back end and styling changes.

 

Do the new changes include removing NOVA completely from the boards?

why has drag been in beta for years?

People would read each other's blogs, leave comments, and such. It would be great for each user to be able to constantly post photos, upgrades, maybe a constantly updated build blog, best e.t's, etc. It would bring in more users and keep traffic here longer. I'll be going with this when I switch to vbulletin down the road.
