Mazda recomends a new apexi seal at what 60k? Piston design engines do not recomend head gaskets at 60k, or 120k, or 300k for that matter.
I have yet to see a mazda make it past 200k with out internal work. I have yet to see a rx7 make good power while retaining drivability and longevity.
Just because you are a firm believer in this "super engine" doesnt mean it isnt one of the worst engines ever made. Also, mazda is not the only rotary engine that was produced in america. I believe it was cheby that had a rotary powered pick up before mazda had the rx7 rotary powered.
I love me to death a lima, but I know it is one of the most simple and stupid designed engines ever. And I will stick up for it whenever needed, but I know its a piece of shit, and will always be a piece of shit. Far from anything most mechanics want to look at, for many reasons.
And you are 2nd in line to the most retarded rx7 owners I know of yet, just below dan.
He does state the truth.
Its ability to make power is offset by its absolute lack of reliability in anything besides its completely stock form.
I still love it to death though and highly doubt I'll find myself driving anything else... unless its to tow my Rx7 somewhere.

I do agree with you though, which is why I passed up an RX7 last year when I was looking for a car, didn't want all the hassle.

You may have yet to see a Mazda make it past 200,000 miles but they have. I have not personally seen it myself in person though, but the record exceeds 200,000.
Plus, I never stated that Mazda was the only car that used the rotary engine I said earlier that Mazda is the only car you'll see come your way for repair.
How you come the judge me as the "2nd most retarded rx7 owner" has yet to be established. Maybe you should stop posting on here if you are going to make statements and bitch all day long. Obviously you are bothered by myself and Dan for some reason - so stop wasting your time by posting.
