Building a sanctioned drag strip in the 757.
lets just say we have some people who own a performance shop and then some people who own a dyno shop. both doing fairly well. then if people on here who have opted to do so know some political people and then some other people know some money people then you have our problem somewhat solved. only thing is each group, buyer, political supporter, and etc. needs to know the level of commitment from the others. thatshow business is. and lets face it, this is gonna have to be a business. this has to make money to keep the city off our backs. this is where the go getter comes in. i know the two business', and i can throw the idea at them but i know where it is gonna go, money and support. basically all the details that either have or haven't been anwsered from this thread.
Do you know what you really need?
Voters!!!
Real fucking voters to come together and say "we want this, or we will vote you out"
Money talks...bullshit walks, and staying elected is MONEY!
So my question is, when are people going to either let this thread die, or come together and do something?

I didnt read all this stuff b'cuz its a lot to read... I dun' post much on this forum (eh, the Neon isn't the most respectable... Smitty?) Anywho...
There's 40 acres located near Langley Speedway up for sale... Not sure on how much $$ requested... But think of this, will the noise really be an issue here? Shyt, already have 'strip and a track in the vicinity. ??
Also... You could design a decenly sized parkin' lot and maybe hold Sat. night shows there and official car shows as well. Of course we might have to pay a few bux for Sat. night shows now for maintainance.
I believe the NHRA might be able to sanction somethin' lyke this as well...
Anywho... Like I said, I dun' know what has already been said on this thread I didnt have time to read at all... Just thought 'bout the idea before and seen this thread and decided to drop in a few cents to the jar.

i have met someone via Gold's Gym who is in the process of working out the kinks for a strip here in the 757 area. he has two respectable sponsors already. he will be bringing me schematics soon. he will be putting up a car repair shop and venturing with another business to put up a shop to sell/install parts(basically a Millenium, Autosolutions, etc.)
more to come once i see these plans and talk to the people that i found also interested in this endeavor.
i will definetly start a new thread..hahahaha!

I think that if we get a track with lights and alot of room. Later in time they would get more money to get better things for the track. The thing that would coast the most is buying some land.
