Pulled and drained gas tank, removed carbs. Looking to clean them good and replace some orings. Anyone near Fredericksburg want to help out? First time messing with carbs, would be nice to get some pointers. Beer included.

ultrasonice cleaner will get u the best result





and dont do this VV get them all together and find a piece left over

 

oh and the biggest advice i can give is replace all the phillip head screw with allen heads. got to fastenal and get the box of 50 for like 6 bucks. u can see them in the last pic ^^

 

was messing with my carbs today... got everything put back together, looked at my work space and saw the spring I'd forgotten to put back where it belongs.

good news is that that bike isn't misfiring any more.
bad news is that the throttle cable is routed wrong, so when the bars are far right, the engine revs. gotta take stuff apart again.

 

I knew I should of ordered those when I bought the other stuff! What's the best way to get them at fastenal? Just take one of the stocks with me?

 

yea. the bowl side are some times longer so make sure u take one from each side to make sure itll be long enough. or just take the carbs with u
