I read a comparison of the two today and it said the WR250 was better, it's just a matter of finding one for sale locally more than anything else.

They are always either beat to fuck or priced almost as much as new.

Cycle world has CRF250L's for 5k brand new. I'm sure you can talk them down from that. They are great bikes, not as nice as the WR, but seriously right behind it.

 

Need a street legal bike. I require it to be inspected and titled. Not really particular on anything else like make or year needs to be cheap. Bankruptcy will be finalized in about a month and a half. Financing is not an option at the moment. Really don't want a small CC bike as I will be riding 83 miles a day and Id like to be able to cruise at 80mph comfortably without pegging the damn thing out.

Not all that particular my background is streetbikes but I wouldn't mind a clean bobber that isn't hacked up maxim/nighthawk/virago/boulevard... Really wanting another F4i or possibly an older SRAD 90s ZX6/7/9 but people seem to feel like they are worth the same thing I could get a fucking R1 or liter Honda for... I'm not over paying for anything I never do. I also require it to be currently street leagal and running. Needing some work is okay but nothing stupid expensive or complicated. Not going to buy anything wrecked badly rash is cool if it's cosmetic. I know I'm asking a lot for this shitty area but I'll make a trip to get the right bike.

 

I'd aim for something like a Nighthawk 750 for that commute/price range. Underrated bike (IMO) and so they can be found cheap often.

 

I passed on a '09 WRR in great shape last fall for 3900.

Been kicking myself ever since.
