Holy shit, I get some work done and go to lunch, and this turns into a 12 page thread..
Just imagine if WRXs and EVOs had to start with a 1.6L engine that put out 160 HP with a turbo. If that's not a handicap, I don't know what is..
Excuses don't fly. I don't talk about how fast my car is because I don't have any numbers to back it up. It's that simple.

Yes Galant, VR4 is one of my favorites. It was pretty small & has AWD though I am not sure what they weigh. When you get a forced induction car that doesn't weigh that much & has AWD it is something special in my opinion. I mean, we all know the EVOs & WRXs are quick. Just image if they were 500-600 lbs lighter, like my car is. Can't knock it until you try it. :-)>

Indeed!
Swap is in progress. That pic is right after i got the mounts welded up and was test fitting everything. Motor is out of a 87 turbocoupe, has some mild head work done, 52lb injectors, rotated and gutted upper intake, 3" downpipe, etc etc Ill post up some more when its closer to being done....

I thought if the wastegate was stuck open you'd see maximum boost? eitherway, thats not too impressive. Ive done better than that on a fwd car, with bad plug wires.

if a wastegate is stuck open you wouldnt be able to achieve alot of boost, when your wastegate senses the amount of pressure the spring is rated for, it opens and dumps exhaust..... thus stabilizing boost as well as it can..... I am not trying to be an ass, just trying to explain where i dont make myself sound dumb?

Geez...I'd love to but I'm here in lovely Ramadi Iraq without access to all my dynos at the house.
However pretty much everyone on here is well aware of what my car makes/has made. I'm sure some people like MAD_DOHC and XCELR8 can vouch for me.
Suffice to say I'm well over 400 whp now.
