There's been plenty of times where i've wanted to post something, and not have to bring the thread back to the top. It's used on 4chan all the time. I guess it would most often be used in negative scenarios. if someone reposts, you don't want to bump the repost just to post "repost" or the link to the original. but that's probably a more clean example than most often. basically if you want to shit on someone and not bump their thread.

The right click works. Middle clicking doesn't open a new tab, which was what i was aiming for, but that's good enough.

One more. embedding flash. I've seen it on phpbb, but i can understand resistance to that one.

 

Figured as much, so no this won't be implemented.

The middle click is a limitation of the browser / javascript not something I can fix.

Definitely not allowing any generic flash to be embedded. There will be more options than just YouTube for videos in the next version of vBulletin though.

I also think its a good idea. not really for flaming.

Another thing, ad tags for different bolt patterns in the wheel section, and then add search for such and such bolt pattern, kinda like the search for 757 events.

I've yet to see a good way to integrate forum usernames with an IRC daemon. Since we don't want yet another thing to moderate I don't see this happening.

Personally I'd be more than happy to set this up, I just don't want 2 sets of credentials.
