E46 M3 vs. S13 SR20DET w/ Tein Type HEs
Wow all this and yet some people still don't get it. The E46 M3 is a superior car in all respects to any mentioned car in this thread other than the ZO6. Please....... S2K.......... 350Z............. lol..... whatever, you people are on crack......... don't even bring that 240 into the picture............ lol this is some funny ass shit. Some people need to quit smoking laundry detergent. The point is this...... The M3 is a racecar straight from the lot, no mods needed, go and race as is, and you won't need upgraded brakes, suspension, tires, or any of that shit and can walk the dog on even moded S2K's, 350Z's, 240's and any little shit honduh that wants to roll. Hell my ZHP will roll on these cars and it is down 100hp compared to an M.

So why don't you get off your high horse and stop making so many damn assumptions coming off like a dumbass. Besides it wasn't one lap. It was multiple laps if that fits your multiple trial quota. The original argument came about because I said the M3 wasn't that nimble. Someone then called me an idiot because I didn't think the M3 was nimble. I stated nimble was a relative term and brought up the s2k and how it was able to beat the M3 every lap around Tsukuba. Obviously, the S2k isn't winning because it has more power. So the logical conclusion is that the S2k handles better than the M3, which was to prove my point that the M3 wasn't that nimble. But then all the Bimmerheads raised hell and had to turn it into a "my dick is bigger" competition, which I gladly obliged because I like those sorts of competitions. But sadly their best argument was, "M3>your MR2," which was absolutely brilliant.
How about this. The s2000 can outhandle everything on the road except a mazda miata. Happy?
How about this too. The s2000 in general, isnt as good as a M3, a SRT4, a Corvette, or even a fucking F body. Thats in all around performance.
An M3 will mop the fucking floor with a god damn peice of shit Nissan. I dont care if you have Tiens, a t17291 with 420983 psi, it's gonna lose. It doesnt have the balance, the predictability at the limits, the braking, or the linear powerband of the M3.

AMEN!
wow
how many of you drive on road courses?
given an equal RACE driver, the M3 will most likely win
an E46 M3 is NOT the end-all-be-all of road course cars. I've seen them get mopped up easily by lesser cars because they are fat pigs with too much electronic bullshit restricting the driver from being able to actually control the car the way it should be.
I am NOT saying my 240 rocks the house on the road course. I AM saying that I drive ~once a month on various road courses along the east coast and have witnessed some "shit" cars beat up on your almighty E46 M3. I am also saying that a well prepared 240 with an experienced driver can easily lay down faster times than said M3 if not driven to its absolute limits.
However if you really think about it, it is awful humbling to have to spend over $45k to barely beat a car that costs less than $10k and is almost 15 years older.
