Been working on the FZR where I could when I had time.
So far I've...
Replaced the broken off mirrors. Got some long JDM style. Had smaller ones but couldn't see ahit but my shoulder.
Replaced the bent foot pegs with new ones. Way more of a PITA than I had imagined.
Full service and tune up.
Pulled all the plastics off and painted it all a solid single color.
New speedo cable after the old one shit the bed..
Broke right now but I've got a few things planned soon.
Next will have to be a clutch it's slipping badly while cold. I'm still DDing it and considered scuffing the steel plates up to get more life out of it but EBC has a kit for $65 shipped can't beat that.
I'll also be swapping fuel tank, Tail fairings and brake light, and seat from a 99-02 R6. Looked into the swap and it's almost too easy. Being that the only thing I hate about the bike is the squared bulky tail. I'll have to cut the subframe and relocate the resivor but other than that it will match up nicely and give it a better look. And I'm looking into a swingarm/wheel swap from a yzf thundercat because fuck a 140 tire. Anybody know off hand if I'd have to modify the front drive sprocket to accommodate a slightly wider rim? It won't be much wider but there's no other option for me as my swing arm is barely wide enough to accommodate the 140 much less a 180/190.

iirc, either the earliest fuel injected or latest carbed gixxer 600 has the same spline and are offset just enough for the swap.

Thanks lude. I figured it needed something to offset it just a hair. That storage unit of yours have any carb R6 parts in it by chance? Also you ridin today?

I've been dabbling with them and FZR online. I saw the swap on a custom fighter project but he didn't go into much detail in that actual thread. I do know it's the most common one people do. I just don't get why my bike needed a 140 60 18. It's an oddly shaped tire at that and expensive.
