If there was better suspension, more HP or something of that nature them maybe it would be feasible. But I rather buy a slightly used highy depreciated vehicle over a new one that I will depreciate
LSD is always good to have, don't want to have a one wheel wonder.

About the LSD something that the car handles better without one and wasnt designed for on the car. But lotus usa bowed to pressure and added one for all teh autoX junkies.
I dont autoX much and I dont care to do it competetively. So thats more $$ to my pocket for corner balanced suspension, custom lightweight wheels and maybe some power adders down the road.

Can you find some concrete evidence of how and why the car handles worse with LSD.... ????
Other than what some Lotus chump babbled on about.
I posted it up, it was from Grassroots motorsports. On track testing cars with the LSD ran significanly slower than those without it. Its in the issue of Grassroots motorsports with the GTO on the front.

I still don't think it makes sense. I mean rally cars in the past have used torsen differentials and I'd say they were of the momentum variety rather than the point-and-shoot.

Ok, it doesn't give a reason why, however it does state that cars equipped with the option ran siginificantly (read: seconds) slower around Lotus' own test track than those that were running open diff. Personally, I'd be more worried with the results than the reasoning behind them. The results are there in black and white.
