yeah seriously. the xt is probably the sickest camera to have come out of any company in like, ever. im buying 2.

 

but if you only had 600 bucks, the rebel will do you just fine.

 

i hope youre referring to someone else being poor when you said that.

 

if the person (in the market) only had $750 to spend on the camera then they would do just fine with the rebel without having to spend the extra $250 for the xt to get great shots.

 

Why would one go XT over the original DRebel?

Oh, and by the way, on my lunch break I went and held the XT. I knew it was smaller but damn. I think I'll stick with buying a black DRebel 6.3MP, and use the money towards Access. and the like. DRebels accept the Microdrives right? I found some great prices (I assume) on them @ www.upgradenation.com.

I'm about to buy a 300d. I REALLY need to feel an XT with a battery grip. Maybe that will change my mind because after feeling one again I just don't think it will fit right in my hands.

Plus I can save $$. Glenn can you hook the XT up with a battery grip at your work? Just long enough for me to feel the difference?

 

joe, we have an Open Item Rebel selling for $599 (body and lens with cover only).
yeah the smaller xt does make a tight fit where your fingers lay between the shutter release and the lens.

but nah, we dont sell the battery grip in stores.
