Are you a specific out put (horsepower/liter) fanboy? You think OHV is archaic?

I can make the same aregument with the 7.0L LS7 vs. pretty much anything. The point is that specific output doesn't matter and many people don't understand that.
Saw the DOHC pic on the panoz forum and found it funny how huge it is in comparison to the 5.0. It's so bit the owner is having trouble getting it out w/ the trans attached. He's putting a LS1 in it.

Do you not understand the concept that a motor with a larger displacement can be smaller than a motor with a smaller displacement? In the end the smaller motor with the larger internal displacement is the better solution.

For instance, a B18C5 makes 10 less horsepower than a 5.0 with 3.2 less liters. That has nothing to do with physical size, even though the Honda motor weighs nearly 200lbs less.

I don't think anyone has ever argued that an engine with more displacement is ALWAYS larger than one with less displacement.
And I don't understand what these pictures have to do with hp/liter.

So what is the point of the thread? You spend the same 2200.00ish in the 4.6 and its still up about 60hp over the 302. i will weigh both motors tomorrow to be sure, but im thinking the weight is only about 45pounds tops between the 2 motors. The car your are talking about has a removable front end right(fenders ,front clip)? If so how hard could it really be to work on?
