Does the CRX have a tach in it stock? Or are you using an aftermarket tach? If it's the stock tach it could be wrong. Otehrwise you ain't blowing your motor...it's a HONDAAAAAAA!!!!

That ECU can't be chipped, it's a DX ECU, sorry..
That Hypertech box is greeeeat.. if you trust your engine to piggyback computers..
Do an engine swap, use a more commonly tuned ECU like a PM6, and you'll be set.. I'm working on adding VTEC hardware to PM6s, should be cool.. Mini-me heaven for you CRX people..
Seriously, an ingition setup like MSD or whatever might help you, if you get on of the models with a user programmable rev limit on it.. Then you'll have a nice ignition on your next engine too...
