I used to work at stock or modified bodyworks, was therr for about 7 to 8 years but went out on my own in mid 2013. Now I have my own small private place in v.b where I do restos and high quality paint jobs by appointment only. Most old heads on here know who I am.. Excellencepaint.com if you want to check it out. The color is from a 2012 gm something or other, saphire ruby or something, absolutely beautiful color.

I want nothing more than to throw something like this over a modern drivetrain for a utility vehicle.

Definitely looking forward to all updates.

Well the first step towards that arrives tuesday. Trashing the old manual 4 wheel drums and installing a power disc brake upgrade. Its gonna stop on a dime.

There's a company that offers that exact product: http://www.e-zchassisswaps.com/index.php

You can take one of these bodies and put it on an S10 platform.

There's a teal colored 1950s Chevy pickup with a moderate lift that I see sometimes over in Newport News / Hampton. I'm pretty sure it's a conversion because you can see it's 4 wheel drive system and it looks more like a modern S10.

The lift and the tires aren't huge, just enough to make it a practical off roader. I really love the concept.

Thats pretty cool, this ones definately going to be a street racer though. Alot of guy do the s10 or camaro swap but im sticking with modifying the original frame rails with a four link coil over rear and a mustang 2 ifs upfront.

If you know anyone, im looking for 15" rims and tires for her, the new discs wont fit in the old 14" rims. Rally wheels or maybe some center lines or weld racing.
