1. You were driving 20 mph.
2. The woman in front of you hit her brakes hard.
3. You ran in to her from behind.
4. Your friend ran in to you from behind.
First off, it was your fault if you hit her from behind. Its called following too close.
You were doing one of the following.
1. Going much faster than 20 mph.
2. Tailgating her.
3. Not paying attention.
4. All of the above.
