Yeah I keep telling him to look into an engine swap, either B18 that has VTEC or an H22. But he believes cams will help him, hell its not my car so whatever he wants to do. But I will tell him the info you guys have told me.

or get a gsr motor. swap crank and rods to ls ones, upgrade the bolts and use new bearings. put b16 pistons on top and send the cams back for vtec ones. put the ls motor back together and sell it.

Definitely. The motor would really love a 55 shot...better off not getting the cams and buying a zex kit and spraying it...will make a HUGE diff. in power. That or the next best upgrade for him would be a VTEC tranny...because the LS gearing really REALLY sucks for an all motor application.

he won't even see 140whp with that cam swap, its a waste of money for an LS.
