unless the installer is a moron, its just about damn near impossible to damage a new set of wheels when mounting for the first time.


the main cause of damage is demounting a low profile tire, and it can be done damage free on a rim clamp machine if the operator is careful.

What do you consider "low profile"? 45 and below (say on a 215mm wide tire)?

according to most places, anything lower than a 60 series is a low profile tire.


myself, i dont think its low till a 40 series.

yeah whatever you do...stay away from waterlick garage...HA.....nothing but scam artist..... i go there for an inspection....and they call me and say it wont pass its gonan cost $650 in parts an shit...i asked why, he said my 'Rack and pinion" was leaking fluid...lol..and he had to replace the whole thing for it to pass inspection..and also it was 1 other thing...cant remember...i just laughed at them and took it somwhere else...Passed without having to pay for anything...except the sticker....FUCK WATERLICK garage...everyone i know who goes there..ends up having to replace somthing. but you go somwhere else..and you dont..lol.
