Ya the front wheels pretty much turn 90 Degrees. It can cut around anything that has a 8" base. Pretty much like a zero turn Lol.

Also, JohnDeer does a sweet job on the yard!! I can make it look pretty with the push mower but haven't quite figured out a good technique on the riding one yet...
And damn.. that JohnnyD has a 318 in it? 5.1L V8 I suspect.
Mow your yard in numbers. Meaning if you have a 48in deck. Count out 1-5 rows, spacing each row out about the size of your deck, until you get to the end of your yard. So say 123451234512345. Then mow your 1lines first, then sweep around and hit your 2's and so on. Basically you are mowing every other row instead of side by side rows, that way you don't have to make sharp turns.

Shit man, i just pick a direction to cut and go with it lol... I alternate which way every time though.. parallel to the driveway, perpendicular, and then cut at 45s away from the the driveway, etc

Yeah I need to do that too, but the way I mow now makes it the fastest. Since I'm on the mower for an hour or so if I mess around to much with different directions that just makes my time longer.

mine.
All you have to do is weld the non axle spider gears to its cross pin, or drill a fairly good hole through both spider gears and stick a nice fitting bolt though the whole thing. I just did it one day when I regreased the whole thing.

You're supposed to change the mow pattern so the grass stays healthy.
