I've been wearing my pyrotect pro-airflow for a while on the bike since I already had it, but just ordered an actual motorcycle helmet (scorpion exo-1100)

car helmets and bike helmets are different in terms of aerodynamics and protection. just because it has a DOT stamp or even snell SA cert, doesn't mean it's a good helmet for on a bike. eye port size, aerodynamics, venting, and lots of other stuff is different between a motorcycle and car helmet.
i understand what your getting at good points, ive never owned a bike helmet always simpson so i wouldnt know about the venting. i fgured the bells, arai, shoei etc. would have more eye port size then the simpson. just wondering if i should look into getting something else?

I didn't think they were used on the street as often as they are considered race helmets. Fire resistant, not as aerodynamic, louder and heavier I'm sure.

Snell is not a style, it's a certification.

I believe auto helmets are fire resistant and are designed for an upright seating position.

Bike helmets are aerodynamic, vented, and have better field of vision. They also tend to be more comfortable to wear.
