i know this is kinda old but if your still lookin i have an rm100 2 stroke bunch of new stuff with some extra tires fresh top end rebuild for 1500 5-6 hours on new piston (weisco piston)

I am looking at a 2004 CRF100 tonight....if its in great condition what would you guys pay it? Or at least what is a good price? Also what are some things to look at on the bike before buying?? Thank you guys for all your help...I need these answers asap!!

make sure the breaks are in good condition, that it idles smooth, no trouble in shifting, and not blowing smoke(unless maybe on start up, if it hasn't run in a while). Plastics/cosmetics are all secondary. Suspension on those little things hardly ever fail. aAlso, make sure the kill switch works, lil kid will need to learn that button/switch!

How much are they asking. . .a few hundred seems ok(like $500-#850 if fair) if it is it the right condition.

Get there with cash money, in hand, and that can be a bit mnore persuasive. While the price seems fair, if it is in as good a condition as it states/looks, than cool. . . but nothing wrong with a haggle.


Tell them you have a guy that knows all about these kind of things, do they mind if you call him in to take a look, lol.

lol...i am a pretty good haggler....i even tried the trick that i was going to get a another one far away in the morning but I would rather buy local and save the time....didnt work. lol.

If he's already 12 I'd venture to say he'll outgrow that thing real quick man. A 4 stroke 100cc dirt bike is definitely beginner friendly but it's not a bike that will last him for a few years. A CRF150 would be perfect like Matt said.
