IOM TT is superb. I know its a bit far, but if you can afford to make the trip for the week over to the UK (then over the Isle of Man) then i'd highly recommend it.
Sitting on a grass bank as bikes zip past at 150+mph is something else. The tracks something like 37 miles long and the whole island comes to a standstill.
If your after a slightly smaller event, there is the Manx as well, same track, just not quite as big as the TT.

WSB is a great event to go to. Anywhere you go it'll be busy and a real good atmosphear. I've got a few pictures if your interested... (and a few short vids at Brands Hatch (3 miles from me) if you want me to upload them.

F1, was that the year the only 4 cars ran? or was that 2005? What a shambles, fealt kinda sorry for you guys. Missed out.
MotoGP i was going to watch last year at Donnington but im glad i passed (if you watched it, u'll know why). Small drop of rain anyone? (Donny is about 3 hours from me). Can't wait to see them though.
But as for the IOMTT... Well, all i can say is, if you DO plan on going, book WELL early as the ferries get booked up as does all accomodation. Unless your tenting it.
Ferry is quite expensive at the TT time, its about 4-6 hours. If you can hire a bike, i'd recommend that as well as they open the circuit (mad sunday i think its called) to riders and its only 1 way.
No speed limits and you can take your own bike round the TT. PLUS, as its a road, its not an official circuit so you may be able to get away with hooning it round with everyone.
Plus, the IOM is a stunning little island, lots of things to go see as well.

Re: F*** motoGP
yea the michelin fiasco was last year, 2004 michael schumacher won it, ralph crashed into that 180, 190mph wall and broke his back, and i think like 10 other cars wreck, like 8 of them directly in front of where we were sitting(turn 1), it was funny, at the end of the race there was what looked like a multimillion dollar salvage yard of like 6 or 7 piled up f1 cars in our corner
