^^^no wonder after I put in the skunk2 IM + throttle body.... the Vtec kicks in at 4.4k wohoooooooo.........

you're exactly right..... vtec did not kick it at 4.4 before after market IM

You don't feel it as much in a GSR because of the dual stage design. Its used to get a much flatter torque curve, so you don't feel the big kick like on a B16/B18C5.

^^^my redline cut off at 8.2 RPM........ is it normal for GSR?

Yes.

Can anyone explain why Honda decided to put that intake manifold setup on just the gs-r motor?

I've never read up on that, it'd be interested in why they did it for that head, and that head only.
