good idea,but my question is,does the p28 run off a secondary and knock sensor?

iirc,
knock: yes.
secondary: it has one in the system but not required for vtec to engage.

chipped p06 it is then,thanks for your knowledge
the motor will be here tomorrow
then ill either get the ecu dealt with or have it painted.
