You could do a homemade turbo system and get another 60-70 hp out of the stock engine and it would be cheaper than doing a swap and less time. Also you would have more hp than a b16 or even a gsr swap. I know people running up to 14 psi on a stock engine. NOT SMART the rods in the d series are like your pinky finger. but at around 7 pounds you could be up around 190 flywheel hp. Not bad for about 1 g or less. I run 9 psi on my daily and have run up to 12 on my stock. later

I would like to make a grocerie list of things that should be done to the engine before i even bother putting on a turbo... so far Ive got:
1)New fuel injectors
2)new fuel pump
3)new low compression pistons
4)new rods
oh and ive read that stock cams, were much better for boosting then a modified cam. This guys log is very helpful, he sounds like he knows what hes doing, for any SOHC guys...this is a good read:
