Re: VMP autoX 9/2 & Langley autoX 9/9
Hmm, getfast, question for you regarding the registration, I read through the main page listed and didn't see it.
I'm used to myautoevents to do it so it's a bit new to me. I usually register for STS and have been a few times (so comfortable without being novice).
Let me know, I'd love to get into AutoX'ing down here in the Norfolk area

Hmmm it's supposed to be somewhere in the event info text, down near the bottom:
http://www.nasaproracing.com/nasa_ev.../?event_id=499
But no prob, just register as a nonmember and put your SCCA class in the "sponsor" field of your entry before you submit it. Also put your heat request in the "transponder number" field of your entry. You don't need to list your NASA class as a nonmember because only members run for NASA championship points by those classes. And you don't even really need to list your SCCA class if you don't wanna be on the mini "Langley only" championship series. Here's how it ends up on the entry list:
http://www.get-fast.net/nasacross/9907entry.htm
(Notice all the "NONMEM" in the NASA class column, next to the SCCA class column.)
Or, similarly, you can just email your class/heat requests to autox@nasaracing.net and they'll make their way onto that list. Cool?
Thanks for asking,
Jon

So far all I've seen are some pics & vids linked from

I didn't have time to take any myself, unfortunately.

Absolutely. Everyone is welcome, even newbs. ;-)
Be there by 11:30a... see the nice people at the registration table to sign in, empty your car out and go through tech, walk the course, then be at the drivers meeting. After that you can hook up with our novice coordinator Jayson West... he'll give you pointers and ride along if you wish.
There will be 2 heats, about 2 hours long each. You'll drive in one and work in the other (chasing cones, calling in cones, writing time slips, etc.)
See ya Sunday,
Jon
