You can rent a bike at the shop. They rent nice ones. Suspension forks and seatposts, although you really don't need them.

well for those who want to buy a bike...I saw this posted by a VT student in another newsgroup thing I look at occaisionally - I know nothing about bikes, but yea it says it's a mountain bike so I thought I'd post it here for y'all
and I'm sure Cosmo can chime in any advice on it!

Chris actually said he wants to go. We weren't sure you could go because of your knee. The downhill isn't steep. Just steep enough that you don't have to pedal.

I'm always up for not pedaling =) So is it bad on the knees? Like I said, i don't even really have to ride, and I don't have a bike. How much are they to rent? And how far away is it?

It's about 2 hours south of here. Pedaling is required for the second half of the trail (about 17 miles). But, depending on who goes, we can just ride the first half. I think it cost $30 to rent a bike.
