Nice setup though. They are really fun motors when you winde them up. What do you plan on reving the motor to?

Make sure you keep a eye on your rocker arms and the nuts at 8500 they don't like to stay in there.
There are some people on honda-tech making that much hp/tq with less work done to the motor. We will see. But I hope your wrong. It pulls strong right up to 8300 rpms. I have adjusted the valves 10 times in 2000 miles. Im pretty familer with its poor rocker design. No problem's so far.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'd like you to see those numbers aswell. Then again, my head was stock with a little gasket matching done(aside from the cams/gears/valve springs and retainers).
Are your cams degree'd in? We noticed a big difference when it was done. I wasn't trying to be a dick, I was just informing ya, we got the cams for cheap because a friend's built ls dropped a valve and destroyed his motor.

We thought about doing a 89x85 motor with crower 405s but it'd be pointless.

Cool, I haven't seen a decently put together DA in awhile. There are virtually no DA's out this way, so it's kinda refreshing .

Thanks, Header is stainless.. Used a scotch brite pad on the disk grinder..For about a week of driving they stayed brite gold, Now its like 8 different colors. Its just a cheap OBX header. I ported the flange out to match the head, And ported the down pipe flange's.

Does it at least have a big collector?

You have an "inline built head" which im sure wasn't cheap, yet probably would make more power with a b16/r head with type r cams.

id be surprised if the setup made 150-160, and btw my old ls/vtec setup made 130 ft lbs with a cheap header.

+1 i went from a dc sport type r header with 2.5 collector on a b20vtec all motor to a jge long tube "hytech style" header hand ported welds 2 piece and had a noticeable torque gain

I got a good deal for the head, valvetrain and cams. And I know all ls/vtecs dont only make 118 ft lbs. I was just trying to stir the vtec guys up.

People are making 150-160 on stock bore with less work done.. I might go this weekend to get it dyno tuned...But I really wanted to get a throttle body first.I will post the results good or bad. But im going to be shocked if its not making 180whp.

Allmotor LS thread.
