Honestly man, from what most of the mechanics tell me, they don't like their jobs but there is a lot of overtime available and a lot of room for advancement. If you have your head on straight and you get in and do a good job, you can move up and become an inspector or do some sort of other oversight fairly quickly. Meanwhile, there is tons of overtime and you can make good money. You can even travel if you want to and get on that nice per diem pay. Overall, it is a good opportunity if you want to bank a lot of money really quick but you have to be okay with spending a lot of time at work.

There is alot more to insulating than covering pipes with fiber glass and tape. I dont know about 4 years of school but it def. Takes tome to learn everything. I hate insulating but its not extremly difficult and when you get on government work the scale is retarded high i make 37$ an hour and i have only been in the game for a couple years.
