ok well I forgot to add this, I do alot of towing with my car too, take two race bikes and a trailer full of supplies and gear to VIR about once or twice a month, she tows decent but thats already some added stress on the rear suspension, if it was your car would you guys be concerned about this? i mean i could just sell these wheels on ebay and buy the correct 01 sport model wheels that will fit with out spacers, but there isn't a huge market so i imagine it would take me a good while to get these ones sold, and then a good while to actually find the set that i want... i don't mind spending time to get it right, but basically i'm trying to weigh which option would be easier, cheaper, and safest

thanks for the good replies so far

I'm gonna be running spacers on my car. Personally as long as you have enough thread engagement you'll be fine. If that means putting in extended wheel studs (like I did), then so be it.

For 1/4" there is no concern. For 1/2" might think twice since you'd need new bolts. Anything more than that and personally I wouldn't tow a canoe.

if u get spacers the hub will not sit flush and it will be pointless to get wheels hub centric or hub rings. the purpose is to get the wheel perfectly balanced on the hub adding to the lug nuts. get et style lugs if you can use them they have a shallow neck which goes deeper in the wheel hole for more thread catch. but it depends on the wheel type. If you havent gotten any spacers yet call Kevin @ CARRSS 254-2679. he is really good at those types of problems

It is pointless because it serves NO PURPOSE. The lug nuts center the wheels (if you use the proper taper lug nut for that particular wheel) the lug nut will center the wheel perfectly. All the hubcentric ring does is line the damn wheel up BEFORE you put the lug nuts on. Why the hell do you need that? The hubcentric ring has no strutcrual support it doesn't make the wheels attach better, it's a waste of damn money.
