I'm kinda glad it's going bye bye, now first off this dosent aply to "ALL" SRT owners... But as the car has gone on in production the true Dodge/Turbo Dodge/Dodge R/T owners got overwelmed by the trendy "I want one because it's fast" crowd. When the car first came out I'de get coments at McDonalds drive through about how it was a cool new car. Now All I get is "are you one of those punk bitches that blows off at 2:00 AM in front of my house?"

I still would have to say that the SRT crowd that I hang out with localy is by far one of the most mature car "clubs" i've chilled with. But for every cool owner I know I know 2, 05 year SRT's that I see locally that are just punks and won't even wave or are causing shit and giving the rest a bad rep.

But with the way people are wrecking these rockets left and right they will be completly gone in 09. As for resell value... Good luck finding a un-moded SRT 5 years from now, or one without a stock turbo for that matter...

wow. did sales suck or something? i thought they were really popular and sold a shit ton of them. dodge is so fucking weird with their turbo cars...

so what's going to replace it?

 

DCx's original intention was to replace the Neon platform...hence good bye srt-4 neon. The 07 srt-4 will be the Evo X. Mitsu/DCx/Hyundai are going to switch to using the World Engine. It's just another 2.4T, aluminum block, alot more research than the current srt-4's 2.4(my guess is the World Engine might have more stock hp than the current 2.4, but it won't be built to withstand nearly as much hp). It just looks like a regesigned Evo. It'll be AWD and turbo and blah blah. Price'll be up. I don't remember the specifics, but the European model isn't gonna look like the American model and so on an so forth. Believe DCx designed the American model, while Mitsu designed the Euro/Japanese version I believe.

 

The SRT was never ment to sell for more then 3 years. I'de probably jump on its replacement except for the AWD part. I know call me stupid but I just dont care for AWD... My next Mopar will be the SRT-8, probably in april next year, but she gets a mean exhaust and thats it. Least thats what I tell the wife...
