One day the B16 will see boost, untill then, I will mouch off of other people.
i think if i build for boost. i will put a ls bottom end on the b16 head. from what i get out of all this the ls has higher torque but the b16 has the high revs as well as the vtec...so why not get the best of both worlds?
You will definately enjoy an LS turbo setup more than a b16. No matter what, the b16's displacement lacks too much low end power. A built b16 (ie: built block) is a totally different story though. My advice if you are on a budget is LS turbo... if you are not satisified with that, build the block and put a vtec head on it later if you feel the need for more power. Just my .2

I say boost the B16. Thats what I've got and I put down almost 260fwhp on 9psi with a shitty tune. The nice thing about the B16, is the gas mileage is still excellent, and driving around town, you don't normally see boost, unless you want to, which helps keep your motor in tact for a much longer time. Bolt on some slick, and take it to the track, and you won't have to worry about the low end. Because of the high revs available, you can launch in boost, and never fall out. Lack of low end also helps a whole lot with traction issues.
