Really? I was curious as to what was going to happen to that car. Here's the story:
I sold my S2000 through my work to a younger guy from Michigan. We worked everything out over the phone and he told me "the only wrong with the Type-R is a scratch on the hood" - I thought great, we can trade a decent Type-R and get rid of my car all at the same time......till one week later when the kid pulled into the parking lot. At the time, all the missing pieces of the car were stacked in the back and there was a little more than a "scratch on the hood" - it wasn't looking too good for my S2000 finding a new home that day. We called another car dealership who came by to check it out. They put a number on the Type-R and we just handed them the keys. From that day I've been curious as to what happened to the Type-R. I hear about my old S all the time from friends on S2Ki though.
I hope your buddy puts it back together well. There was some potential in the R, but it would take a bit of work.

Well - if the picture in the first post of this thread is that Type-R. I honestly think they should put the OEM Type-R Wheels back on it. Just my opinion though...
