Or you can just ground the knock sensor out to the body. If you motor starts to knock, you will know, and more than likely it's blown. Honda's generally run rich to begin with, and run really rich for about the first 5 minutes of driving. Are you smelling gas when your car is running? Also just check around your muffler for black deposits. If you are running really rich, your bumper will probably be a little black. As far as gas milage also change your pcv. Should help out a little. I used to get the same gas milage as you. I did new cap, rotor, wires , and plugs. Also replaced the coil cause it went out. Swapped my stock ecu back in and drive more sensible and I noticed a big difference in gas milage.
