the way you originally described it, you were shaking the wheel and the axle would move. that is moronic.


the way you edited it, its sounds like you have a side diff. bearing shot in the transmission, since the inboard joint moves that much.


get another tranny.

Yeah, I was about to say that it sounds like the bearing is completely missing if you've got that much play in it, or the diff is in pieces.. Either way I'm surprised the tranny works much or even at all. I'll bet the car taht tranny came out of had a major impact to that side of the car and broke the bearing race apart..

ya like i said, i didnt notice it until like 20 minutes into the first drive of teh swap, i ws takin a turn at like 2mph, adn it just happened....sucks

suprisingly not a drop of oil from there, i did shake the oil plug loose though after 1 run arround teh block
