It was a Focus 2.3L car came in stages I had stage 1 from Cosworth, they specially design and build parts for my engine and sell them in Kits d-Power 1,2,3, have to buy and install 1 to get 2 to get 3. Start at 150hp and 160tq for the stock car, stage 1 puts 170 down, then stage 2 puts around 200, then stage 3 puts anywhere of 230-250 NA down.
4cyl not small V6 either. All aluminum block, aluminum DOHC head.

What kind of track? Road course? If you want something reliable and quick stick with a mostly stock motor (K20 would be nice ). It may not be as fast at the dragstrip or on the highway but its a lot more satisfying to go a full track day running consistent laps and never breaking than it is to have to tinker all day long to keep the car running well.

I was planning on more the lines of either a B16A or B or getting a B18C5...then maybe putting a nice turbo on the motor as there are plenty of companies that make a turbo for most honda engines. GReddy being a big one.

Yup. A USDM motor sounds good too...found a complete engine with everything there for like 4200, is that a good price? Under 17K miles? 100% start up warranty.
They also have a part to convert the cable tranny to use the Hydraulic Tranny.
Also have motor mounts to make the B18C5 to fit inside of a 92-95 Hatch.
