Pasta Luna is going on its like 6th year of being voted #1 Italian restraunt in Richmond, very very good food, broad street

Mekong on broad is probably the most highly rated for Vietnamese in the area, and its nice, but I prefer the smaller not so nice joints around the corner on Horsepen road, there are like 4 of them over there

Casa Grande on broad or Mexico which has several locations for mexican are two of the more popular places, but so far every mexican place i've ever eaten at tastes exactly like all the rest

Three Monkey's on main street is really good for brunch, thought their dinner menu was kind of boring... place in shockoe bottom, on the same street as Tiki Bob's called Zuppa was really good and definetly unique, their specialty is soups and foccacia bread sandwhiches, but its not like anything i've had and the owners were very very cool, in fact i feel bad for not having gone back in a while and i think i'll eat there tonight

bottoms up pizza in shockoe bottom

5 guys (burgers and fries, etc.) across from innsbrook

phat boyz bbq (a couple of trailers that move around every couple of months... right now there's one in the green top lot on US 1)

for a nice supper the berkeley hotel dining room is where it's at, but sort of expensive... 4 stars i think

i went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago... had a barbecue chicken pizza and some draft that they kept pushing. the beer was really good to put on top of that big ass slice of pizza for some reason.

since i like greasy new york style pizza i was a little suspicious of their california pizza, but i learned to like it.

ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY. The West End Bottom's Up blows and the pizza honestly does not taste the same. Downtown rocks.

but if your in that area i'd recommend Cheeburger Cheeburger, I've eaten at every top 10 best burgers of richmond place and I don't think theres a single one I'd go back to including the highly praised carytown burger(yuck, more like elitist scenster burger anyways from the people working and hanging out there) and 5-guys, wasn't impressed at all... but cheeburger i've probably eaten at 10 times and i really don't even like burgers much, and their milk shakes are the shit

Croakers Spot on leigh in Jackson Ward..... Southern Soul Seafood
Jumpin Js off N 25th st 600 block in Church Hill.....gourmet lunch and breakfeast for cheap (this place is really good)
Hill Cafe Broad st and like 29th....cool neighborhood bar with great eats
Sette off Main st and 23rd...great gourmet pizza and pastas with really nice ambience and no too expensive.

For Ethnic food
This lil Pho place off horsepen that look liek a house forgot the name
Ethopian place right across the street from Alladins is really good
TAN-A on horspen and Broad always has some yummy treats you can take out
Cedar cafe off carry and 6th street for middleastern food....I heard its much better then Aladins but no shisha

yeah downtowns bottoms up is way better then westends

ohh and if your looking for more kinda chain upscale stuff vs the small downtown eateries theres alot of that in the west end like Cheesecake factory and Maggianos ect.

Ohh and a freaking dope ass asian buffet place that has lobster, crab, sushi and sashimi is KING BUFFET off broad st in the shopping center just east of parham in the books-a-million strip mall....that shit is DOPE!!
And I hate buffet food

The words sushi and buffet should never mix.
