No front airdam on it still, waiting for paint. Drove it around without the airdam and it blew the fender liner out of place and chewed it up, and I dun feel like chewing up the one thats left, already gotta go find another one. It'll be all ready to roll hopefully by the end of November. All thats left are little nitpickey things like paint and pulling 1 dent in my new/used fender.
Hey that's weight reduction. I saw you were signed up for some AutoX, going to have it ready for that?
I ran the 850 at Richmond on Friday, its running definitely and everything is a go other than the body stuff. I cheated and trailered it there though. I don't feel too safe driving it downt he highway with no airdam because the IC, AC Condenser and Radiator all sit down there and hang out, especially the stock IC's plastic endtank which hangs way down there. Also, at the end of the track at Richmond the front end was getting floaty and light
Its not the 850 at the autocross....It'll be this one. The 850 should make a showing back at the autocross next year I'd imagine.
Its still in need of a few things to be ready for the autocross also, its been tough trying to balance everything I've got going on but I'll work something out. It won't be its best showing, it'll be lifting on the inside and I'll be losing lots of time since I don't have the diff locked up yet. It'll be the first trial of what I've built of the suspension so far, sorta a test and tune run, and will give me some sort of a baseline so I can have it ready for its first real showing....February at VIR.
I'm in the Charlottesville area, but I'd still like to ride up with everyone if this is still happening- not sure where/when would be the easiest place for me to meet up
