No pics but I had a rusty 71 Dodge Polara 2 door that at the time I thought was pretty cool. Hi comp 4 barrel 383 in it with an auto and 3.23 posi. It had been a NY sherrif deputy car it's whole life until I bought from a friend who moved to GA from NY. Now granted they hadn't used a Chrysler product like that in years for a cop car, but people just moved over when I came up the highway. It had a real "Blues Brothers" feel to it but was dark root beer metallic, black vinyl top, black wheels and black interior (hott) When it rained it would just short out no matter what speed you were going........"blam" no brakes, no steering. Needless to say I sold it after about 8 months of ownership and tracking down the short. Beaters rule though! I had a lot of fun in that car, no dates, but a lot of fun.

My first car was a 75 Chevy Vega. (Think of an old Z with a Camaro front). It was a shitty 4 cylinder turd. I had squares of plywood in the floorboard so my friends wouldn't Fred Flintstone in my car. The wheels were so rusted that all my tires would constantly go flat. The tires shop tried "bees wax" but that didn't help too much. The stock radio consisted of one speaker on the dash. So I installed an awsome Road Gear tape player and 2 speakers from Wal-Mart. The fuel pump was hard wired to a toggle switch, so if I forgot to shut it off when I stopped, it would burn up. Oh, and the car would randomly shut off while driving down the road, mainly b/c the fuel pump over heated. The brakes were shot, I had to pump to build pressure. I took it on the Interstate ONCE, and my friends and I thought it was going to rattle to pieces and/or blow up. It was so ugly and leaky that my dad moved his Corvette out of the garage and made me park inside just so the neighbors wouldn't think we were trash.

I had plans though. One of my friend's Dad loved it, he was all like, "In my day, we'd stuff a small block 350 in those." So I was like, hell ya, lets do that! LOL

I'd have to say a ~'65 CJ-6. I say the "~" because we're unsure of the year. The VIN is gone, rusted off, and they were all the same in the year range. It had no floorboards, fiberglass fenders for a later CJ retrofit in and chopped up, half the body was Bondo, the drivers seat consisted of springs and a piece of plywood set on top of it. Started it by twisting wires together, then crossing two others. I'd bet a nice Kohler V-twin produces atleast 25% more power than that engine did. Its got a "3 inch body lift" consisting of a stack of 3 1" poly bushings with about 1" centerbore stacked at each body mounting point....which are ~3/8" bolts, so they had all settled sideways and it settled unevently. I got it this way, never really did anything to it.

I've still got it sitting on the Eastern Shore at the farm. One day I'll resurrect it. Maybe. Its definitely my favorite style of CJ. The short CJ-5 body, and the older narrow frame. Great candidate for an SBC and some nice full width Dana axles and some big beefy tires.
