if you are looking to play for cheap kempsville is where its at. or if you are military oceana naval air station has a nice course. there is also private places. cypress point, hell's point, and bayville. i used t golf a lot. prolly should dust off the clubs and go. lol.

 

i work at Kingsmill on the James River. It's right by busch gardens. I play for free =). but the going rates are 150 for 18 holes on the river course. pretty expensive but awesome golf course. the LPGA plays there every year.

 

My grandfather used to volunteer up there almost every year when one of the big tournaments came through. I can't remember which one. He was known to play with his little white balls quite frequently.

I play, but I am really bad. My little brother shoots in the 70s though. I wish I could be that good.

 

I shoot relatively high 70's.. low to mid 80's on a bad day. Pretty consistent though.

But then again, I haven't played in a year.

 

Let me know man, I played high school golf for four years, and was offered to play for CNU but parents wouldn't let me go there cuz of the area. Let me know if you want to play, I work at The Signature at West Neck.

 

That's my favorite course in the area.

 

I'll bring my clubs the next time I'm in that part of Virginia.. maybe a few of you guys would like to meet up and play a round.
