Think i might buy a lightning next year. Owners i could use your insight
the L aftermarket has really exploded last 2 years.
Like you said the Syclone is old and there are less and less of them around.

Yeah it's a truck I would buy and maybe race once just to say I did, then park it for fun cruises and meets. I'd be scared to death to put miles on it.
I have 2 friends back home with Lightnings, one is black with a GT42 turbo and putting down 738RWHP/795RWTQ @ 22pis on stock long block. The other one is red with the navigator motor with twin GT35 TO476 S cover .58ar putting down 685.3 RWHP / 673.3 tq @17psi on stock long block.

Yep, both have/had badass trucks.
Buy mine now so I can get the F350 that I want.

Taken directly from the GM Service Bulliten on Towing:
SYCLONE:
-------
The Syclone has been approved for a maximum gross combination weight rating of 4800 pounds (2179 kg) with a maximum trailer towing weight of 1100 pounds (500 kg) and maximum cargo weight of 250 pounds (114 kg). When towing a trailer with passengers and cargo, the combined weight cannot exceed the 4800 pounds maximum gross combination weight rating. A hitch (#24559) has been developed by Draw-Tite for the 1991 and 1992 Syclone. When towing with the Syclone, use this hitch or an equivalent class rated hitch.
NOTICE: Exceeding the maximum gross combination weight rating of 4800 pounds and/or the maximum trailer towing weight of 1100 pounds will cause serious engine and/or transmission damage.
TYPHOON:
-------
THE TYPHOON IS NEITHER DESIGNED NOR INTENDED TO TOW A TRAILER. Trailering with the Typhoon will cause serious engine and/or transmission damage.
LOL at 1100lbs of towing, and 250 lbs cargo weight.

Personally i just want a 500whp vehicle, i really wanted to know if the 03+ cobra and the lightning posses the same powerplant? if so, like the cobra that motor will take damn near anything you throw at it properly tuned to around 700whp?( i know the tranny might be a different story ). I would just like to know how every enjoys their trucks and if ya'll got any gripes you would like to share.
