i don't think that's a good idea. that makes a team w/ more drivers have a better chance at winning which isn't fair. for example, if you had 7 drivers, you'd have a 7 in 4 chance of beating another teams scores, whereas another team would only have a 4 in 4. if i had 7 members on my team, i would still see it as unfair.

well what about those team's who have a person missing? thats a 3 in 4 chance for them, or in that last team 2 in 4....thats not fair either...

How about just averaging the scores of the people that showed up for the team and using those?

Its kind of like in bowling if one member of the team dosent show up they use an average. In this case if 1 or 2 members do not show then the slowest time on the team should be used in their place, after PAX. I think this a fair way of handleing this because if for some reason I get a call to work or some thing it shoulnt hurt my team. Jobs, family, and other comitments take presodent over this. But it shouldnt hurt the "team".

You all make very good points regarding the team challenge. This is how we have it set up.

1. The points accumulated are for ODR-SCCA region only at this point. I haven't done the same for TSCC yet (I won't be at the next 2 events for them, so if someone wants to setup the registration for that one I would appreciate it). When we do get TSCC on board with the challenge, the points will only be for that club. I do not want to mix the two.

2. The team name must be registered along with 4 drivers at the registration table. You can plug in alternate drivers if you need to. Just make sure you list them on your registration sheet at the event. You cannot accumulate points for more than 4 drivers. If your team does not have 4 the day of the event, you will only recieve one point for showing up but your times will not be counted.

3. We have a team challenge page on TB. I'm just waiting for my associate to put the button on the main page. This page has the rules and reasoning behind it. It will also have a registry of the teams, drivers, cars, and of course, standings. Hopefully we will have it up this week.

Cool, I was concerned about this because I can probably make all of the ODR events but, not all of the TSCC events. Maybe our team should just focus on the points for ODR?

I'm really excited that we did well and hope to battle for the top spot, which I know we can do. Oh, and thanks to Andy in his classic Se-R who helped us out a lot. Sorry I couldn't stay for the whole event, but Andy if you read this it would be great if you can continue running with our team. Your good times and PAX help out a lot!

I had a lot of fun but, I wish I would of been able to stay longer. Next Time!

i won't be able to run the TSCC events either. it's hard enough getting off work on sundays b/c technically, my position is a sat. and sun. job, but i have a cool boss. he has to work in my place on sundays, which i'm sure he doesn't like, so i don't want to wear it out ya know. i should be at all ODR and VMSC events though, except for April 26th.

I too should be able to be at all the point events. That is if the weather dosent stay crappy and I have to work Sundays. The only thing that would be good about that would be double time.

Also for the next point event I should have a FEW new go fast parts on the car. Tires, Intake, Headers?, Rear sway bar, Lightweight crank pully, and hope fully if not all of those by the second by the third all of those plus exhaust. OH HELL YEA

Go Go Go Team Grocery
