If the compession is fine, could the valves still be bent???

Not to be a ass.... but wouldn't that be kinda hard? To hear air coming out your intake? Or are we talking 100s+psi?

you arent really listening for the air to come out...you are watching the air pressure guage, and if you stop pumping at lets say 65 psi, and 10 seconds later its at 25psi...

so yeah

Set the timing, try to run it, if it runs you're good.

I jumped a SHITLOAD of teeth in my Supra, and it was fine. Unless you have high-compression pistons, or a smaller gasket, you have a shitload of clearance.

The guy at the shop says he see's metal shavings from doing the leakdown test.

ask him to show you, if he can.. do you trust him as a mechanic ? if you had to tell him todo a leakdown test, i`d feel weary of him..

I am weary of him.
I'm gonna take the car somewhere else.
He said the car won't start. I told him when I first brought him the car that it needed a battery. He forgot.
