i'd say 10k max, koukis are rare and most will go for 6-7k stock. you're going to have to repaint the car if he has the vertex kit included. Plus it seems like it's a stock SR. veilside rims are ugly, though I do like the vertex kit. If i were you, I'd ask him to not include the rims and buy it for 8k.

I'd try for $8500.

Question 2 : What is a blacktop SR20DET vs. a redtop?

blacktops are newer than redtops, same engine specs though. blacktops generally cost a big more since they are newer.

Not all blacktops are newer, but most of them are. They gain I think 10hp compared to redtops with the same turbo.

Somewhat true. Redtops were used in the 180sx and silvia through 1993. In 94 the Silvia was then moved to the s14 chassis and it got the S14 blacktop which included a larger compressor on the turbo, VTC, and the new low port intake design vs the redtops high port. In 94 also, the 180sx stayed in production, on the s13 chassis of course, but was given a blacktop as well....just a different one than the s14 silvia has. The blacktop in 94+ 180sx is nearly identical to the redtop.

So, is the "blacktop" from an S13 or an S14?

I didn't feel like explaining all that. You guys now what I meant.

Since I have a kouki I'll say you'll be lucky to get that car for less than 9.5k
