do the LS1. They weigh almost exactly the same because its mostly aluminum and the LS1 is just a sweet fucking motor.

...the sr20 would be cool too though.

custom motor mounts (not sure what other mounts)
custom driveshaft (any suggestions?)
rx7 rear end is said to work, how does the stock one hold up?
with the rx7 rear will i need custom axels? or anything?
i know ill need a diff hood sense the sr20 sits higher.

anything else needed and/or suggestions would be great. I really want to do this.

wow that will be a fun little car. this brings back a time last semester at vcu when i saw some asian girl with a license plate that says jaydm? jaiedim? jaydiem? or something along those lines. does that girl drift or something?

i can help you with this. i know where to source everything you need and have a lot of experiance wrenching on 944/924s. i wanted to do this to my porsche and sourced everything but it was to pricey. an easyer cheaper and equaly potent swap is the motor from a 944t and use the 6speed lsd transaxle from a 968. pm me if i can help.

daniel, i will help you too. i love silviatas. i have very large organized library of nearly every scc, superstreet, import tuner from the past few years. i know a couple of them that have silviata articals. give me a call if you want to look at the articals. they have names of people and shops you could contact for help. i will hopefully have my welding outfit soon so i can help you make some trick custom motor mounts and other crap. it will still be a few months though, water cooled tig welders are $$$$$$$$.

LOCO, i did some research on the rear ends when i was looking into puttin the vg in my miata, the rx7 rears can be done but take a little work and are pricey, a stronger, lighter, cheaper alternative is a lincoln ls rear diff & modified thunderbird / cougar axles and hub assemblies. itl take the power of a heavily modified V8. you oughtta ask kevin whats done for the rear end in that sb ford powered miata they have at PAS.

Good luck with the swap!
