Its has been kind of slow in the NOVA area but it is just way to expensive to keep the meets running during the winter months. As everyone knows, the MEGA MEET is a non-porfit organization and the money that is made during each meet actually goes to pay for all the costs of that meet (police officers for security, food and drinks, insurance for the lot, etc.). If there is any left over money, it goes into extra things for the meets like the raffle, Imstar Event last year at MIR, donations to the hurricane victims and the American Red Cross. Also, we need some time in order to plan for the upcoming season and that is what is going to make this year better than last. There are plenty of events that are in the works for the 2006 season including drift competitions, drag racing events and car shows at different locations in Virginia.
