wow i'm such a genius, it just hit me 15 min ago why i was sliding all over the place when i did brake-while on the grid i noticed my ABS light kept coming on, well i simply ignored this for some retarded reason and just brushed it off as me seeing things. so yeah-ABS is malfunctioning and that could be the reason WHY i felt like i was on a slip and slide the whole time!

That same thing happened to me as well. When I spun out on run 2 the ABS light came on. I didn't notice it until the start of my 3rd run, but decided to ignore it. I must have locked the brakes up 4-5 times on that run. When I reset the ABS system for my 4th run, everything went much better. My 4th run ended up being a 55.8xx.

In my case I just had to turn the car off and start it up again. The ABS light went off. I am not sure about your car though.

James, you looked good on the race home.
I did not down shift on the 120+( i mean 55mph), you were right behind me so you must have found forth. I am going to the drag race on Fri. if you want to go nose to nose.

Yeah, you didn't look so bad yourself. I actually didn't need to downshift (I didn't stay in 3rd that long), but the little "boost" you get from getting higher in the power band "feels" fast anyway. When I did shift to 4th (and I hit the rev limiter a bit), I was right in the power band.

I did think it was interesting that when we did do our 120+ (I mean 55 mph) runs, we were right with eachother. I couldn't catch you, but you couldn't pull away from me. It goes to show how evenly matched our cars are, at least up at those speeds. From a standing start I think your diff would get me (without the nitrous anyway !).
