ARG!!! My car is a piece! sick of it..is yours?
My car runs like a fucking champ...when I'm not installing some new part on it.
I had the turbo setup running for about a month until I decided to go with a full standalone ECU and injectors, and I'm just now finishing that up.
I really don't have any qualms with my car, other than the fact that the top leaks a tiny bit in heavy rain

Ok... Bought the car and ran fine but needed paint job bad. Then I was brillant and wanted a motor swap also.
Paint place fucked me over, body kit molded on sides isnt smoothed right.
Paint laquer wasnt sanded down after it was done..and still isnt.
Had to buy all new weather seals since they were fucked - del sol...not cheap almost a 1,000.00
- Parts missing since paint job was done still need to be bought - 150.00 worth.
- The wipers arms werent but back into gear right, they still sorta work but have no intermentent wipers and when I turn them off they dont go down they stop wherever they are at so I have to time it right.
-- Interior parts and locks not put back in right so everything doesnt work smoothly like it should.
-- The 18s on it right now have tires to big on them to allow me to lower it back down.
--- The exhaust doesnt line up perfectly with the bodykit on the rear so some of the smoke goes all through the bumber and out the sides
-- Only one seat ((dont ask long story)) so I bought S2K seats not knowing I need all the del sol seat parts to make it work right. Now one S2K seat is in and looking for del sol seat parts. The Idle air control valve is stuck open so car revs at 1700 RPM all the time and is really annoying a new one of these is 250 bucks so I need to pull it off and clean it to see if that fixes it.
-- The original steering wheels airbag system wasnt working, SRS light always on.So now I have an aftermarket one but I need to wire up the damn horn so I can pass state inspection.
-- The fog lights were fiberglassed into the kit by the same dumb asses who painted it and they look nice but point damn near straight up.
-- The interior is crap and Im having to replace everything or look at getting it reupholstered.
-- The right turn signal/ driving light bulb plug only has 2 wires going into it instead of three and the 3rd plug is so messed up I need to get a new one so that it will work as both the driving/ signal light
-- Side turn signals dont work but cant go back to stock since the body place filled in the holes so much only the wires will go through and I cant find any stick on ones around here.
This car continues to swallow up money like a drunk uncle swallows egg nogg at the family Christmas party!
Im fed up with it and just about ready to get rid of it and go back to a new car.
Although the B18C6 in it pulls rather nicely and it is nice to have a drop top car....

I don't hate my car, I just hate the condition its in right now. Its 4 colors, and the front end isn't aligned properly. I'm still riding on the stock LS webs, which look like crap. Its lowered, but not enough, and I should of done it right the first time. Its a slow as shit LS. Maybe one day I'll be able to boost it and have decent numbers. Nothing big, just fun to drive.

I have a 99 Civic.
I had my car's front end re-painted and the body shop did a great job other then the fact, when the sun hits the paint, you can see that the front doesn't match the rest of the car. The front is a shade off. they used a grey primer and all of us Honda enthusiasts know Honda uses a dark primer(black).
My windows are tinted an the passenger side window fell out of track one day and tore the tint on that window.
My rear suspension bushings sqeek.
I need a set of rims to put on the car since I sold the ones I use to have.
Also I haven't driven the car in about a year now. She is in the garage with no motor. Last summer I was driving to work and the weather was about 90+ degree's. I heard the motor have a slight tick in it and I knew I needed an oil change which, I was going to have done that day. I was about 10 minutes from work after driving for 15 minutes and that tick became a loud knocking sound. I lost all power(not that there was much in the first place on a stock d16y8) and pulled over at the nearest gas station. Had the car towed home. Pulled her into the garage a couple weeks later and once I pulled the motor out, put the motor on a stand and pulled the oil pan off I knew I had a problem. Metal shavings and black oil wasn't good. Number 4 rod I could shake in by hand. A spun rod bearing can eat up a lot of metal. Sold the whole swap and the car has been on jack stands waiting for a swap for months now.
Other then those slight problems I love my car. She is the first car I have bought and paid for. I am driving my 92 4runner right now and it seems when I have money to fix my car I end up doing maintenance to the 4runner so it keeps running strong as a daily driver and doesn't end up like the civic. You don't see many B18C6's in the U.S. How much did you pay for a Euro/U.K. B18C6?
I paid about 2200 US... with shipping and freight charges.
That was with the harness, driveshafts, ECU, shift linkage(which was no use since I drive a Sol), and tranny.
I was in England at the time though and it took me 3 months to find that good of a deal and I had to drive to Scotland to see it run.
Engine is very nice and only had 47,000 mile on the odometer of the donor car.

I'm over my car too. It's a fucking heap and it's only a few years old. Most of it is my fault, but still, I'm really starting to hate it.
Front end is fucked, for the second time. I've got my suspension kinda screwy. Front sits higher than the rear. Motor sounds like it's about to blow. I backed up into a curb a few months ago so I really fucked my exhaust and rear bumper. Power door locks don't work properly. Speakers on the passenger side of the car are blown. So on and so forth. I need to make a list and try and get them all fixed.
Not too bad for a 2001 Civic, huh?
