Well, at least everyone will be slowing down for rreason now.

 

...set a MIMIMUM speed in the tunnels (say, 10mph below the speed limit) and ticket those driving too SLOWLY. This will free up traffic and create revenue at the same time. But it's too good an idea for anyone to actually try it.

 

Thank goodness everything I need is in the beach.

I'm at a lost for words over this shit. I can't believe how f'ing stupid our elected officials are. Can't anyone with common sense get elected and make an impression. Fuck all these lobbyist groups that get kickbacks.

 

This is the time for HR residents to overwhelm the decision makers with complaints. How does setting up a toll stop the traffic situation, it's going to be 10-15 years before any new crossings are completed. Traffic during rush hour will come to a halt. Its not just one toll, every major route in this area will be affected. The toll better be a penny so you can just throw spare change in a basket. if its $1 or more I will never leave Va Beach.

 

I really hope our elected officials are smarter than to impose a toll area on the current bottlenecks.

 

As if traffic isn't bad enough already, I remember when they used to have tolls down 264

 

you mean 44.... And those tolls stayed around for long after the roads they were meant to pay for were paid for...

there's gotta be a petition or something started already....
