any B series tranny will bolt up, but keep in mind that you may need to get your clutch/flywheel for the right year in certain cases.

Also, it is possible to use a cable tranny in a hydro car, you will need a hydro-cable conversion. And the same goes for a hydro tranny in a cable car. I would suggest you keep hydro with hydro, and cable with cable...

Obd1 all the way. Obd2 is way too emissions friendly.

instead of a custom mount, you can replace the mount backet on the body on the passenger side to keep it looking factory. as far as the ecu goes you can modify it for automatic to manual very easly.

I would let it go for 20 bucks...

ok thats just ghetto.... why dont you go to the dealer, order the factory mount that is welded to the chassis, drill out the spot welds on the mount for the auto that is on there and weld the new one in. this is easiest with the drivetrain removed. the 5spd tranny bracket is like 35 bucks.

you need to have the motor and tranny in place to locate the mount on the "frame rail". put on all the mounts you can and the pass side trans mount will be where it needs to be. weld it in place, ur good to go. paint the new mount {which technically is a bracket} and ur off and runnin.

except for installing the clutch pedal assembly, shift linkage, all the lines and whatever else. that is cake however. your gonna need new axles too... generally speaking.

you dont have to use factory hard lines for the clutch, you can just have a stainless braided line made up -3 in size and run that. its a helluva lot easier.

if you do your job right no one will ever know the car was a auto to start with.
