New member, just sayin hey
no, crower stage 1 is compatible with stock valve train. stage 2 cams however have a substantial amount more lift and duration which REQUIRES upgraded valves and springs etc. (which crower also sells) i'm gonna try em out, and if i'm not happy with them, i'll upgrade to stage 2 cams. but i've read nothing but good reviews on these cams at G2IC.com (DA/DB integra *2nd generation* specific) and those members that have them say they are GREAT. said that the idle is just barely a little rougher than stock, and they make good power after 3500rpms. a member on there bolted these cams in a completely stock motor, no aftermarket intake system, header, or anything. and netted a gain of 11hp. dyno slips to prove. later upgraded the intake/header/exhaust and said the car pulls alot harder.
i got a really good deal on the cams (only paid $150 for them shipped) so i couldn't pass it up. figured, "what the hell?" same price on the manifold as well. if the throttle body gasket gets here tomorrow, i'm putting all this stuff in on sunday. i've got all the other gaskets, valve cover and intake manifold gasket, just waiting on the stupid TB gasket. if not, then maybe next weekend. will keep you guys posted on that, might just start a seperate thread that will have pics of the project as i go along.
BTW, thanks for the positive feedback guys. means alot to me
